IOWs, a bolt used in X application requiring, say 10 Nm. This seems to be a bit old, as things may have changed since then. I've been searching high and low around the internet and found what appears to be a dated PDF (from 1997) which seems to provide some torque specs. Is this because most DIYers don't bother to use a torque wrench and just go by feel?Īnyway, I think it would be a great idea to have a sticky where this type of information is provided for the most common DIYs. Most DIYs do a great job of explaining the steps, but often just say to do the reverse to reinstall, leaving out the proper torque for each bolt. Is there an all-inclusive torque spec chart for the majority of the DIY repairs. ![]()
